A veneer is a thin porcelain or composite material sheet which is fitted against the surface of a tooth and can be colour-matched to existing teeth for a completely natural appearance and feel.
The process is quick and easy as the veneer is bonded directly onto existing teeth, creating a uniform, straight and bright smile.
Typically, around four to ten veneers are used along the front teeth. The number of veneers used is dependant on the overall look a patient is trying to achieve.
Our dentists at Horton Dental Practice will arrange two visits if you opt for this cosmetic dental procedure.
During the first visit, the dentist will prepare your teeth by gently scuffing the surface. They will then colour-match your teeth to the available veneers.
During the second visit, the dentist will ensure the veneers fit your teeth correctly before bonding them into place. You will be given instructions on how to care for them.
